INRM BIY 2026
Activating ADB's next builders
ITD BIY Event at INRM - Build-IT-Yourself. A five-day Microsoft Power Apps capability studio: learn the Power Platform, build a working prototype on a problem you bring from the field, and demo at the Day 5 finale.
The brief
ITD BIY event at INRM
The Asian Development Bank (ADB), through the India Resident Mission (INRM), runs INRM BIY 2026 from 22–26 June 2026. BIY is a learning-oriented innovation activity aligned with ADB's digital transformation, operational efficiency, and staff capability development objectives.
Objectives
This 5-day onsite capability-building program is aimed at:
- Enhancing PowerApps and Power Platform capability among ADB staff
- Enabling a Build-It-Yourself (BIY) application development culture
- Delivering working prototypes addressing real ADB operational challenges
- Strengthening internal adoption of digital transformation solutions
Program Format
5 days, onsite at INRM, in-person. Three movements:
Foundational learning & hands-on training on Power Apps and the Microsoft Power Platform.
Team formation, problem selection, sprint planning, and the collaborative buildathon.
Final demos, jury evaluation, and recognition at Microsoft Office.
All sessions run within ADB office hours, fully in-person across all five days.
You bring the problem.
We build the solution.
Participants are ADB INRM staff, the field officers and operators closest to real pain points. On Day 3 you pitch problems rooted in lived experience; the strongest anchor the teams for the two-day buildathon. Every team is recognised at the finale. No team is left behind.
